I lose weight by eating right

I used to have a normal weight but working as a writer makes me fat! Losing weight is a big challenge for me. Working like a night owl almost every day and doing some stress eating (coke + ice cream) just to finish my deadline is always a part of my work.  I also hate taking pills or medication for weight loss and too lazy to exercise or visit the nearest gym.  But there is something that I discover that totally lose my weight. I’m still chubby but losing some few pounds is really a miracle for me.

My last year and today

My solution is eating right. It doesn’t involve following strict nutrition philosophies, becoming too thin or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Eating should be a pleasurable experience and make you feel great. It should give you the energy your body needs while keeping you as healthy as possible. This can be done by practicing good nutrition which isn’t really that hard.

Here are some guidelines to help you eat right:

First, eat enough calories but don’t overdo it. Balance your calorie intake and calorie expenditure. In layman’s terms, that means don’t eat more food than your body uses. The average recommended daily allowance is 2,000 calories but this will depend on your age, sex, height, weight, and physical activity.

Eat a variety of foods daily. Don’t go for the same old thing over and over again. This makes eating boring and unhealthy. Expand your choices by trying foods that you don’t normally eat like vegetables, whole grains, and fruits.

Eat a low-fat diet. Avoid fatty foods like butter, coconut oil, saturated fats, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats, animal fats and dairy fats. They won’t do your body any good and will bring you closer to a heart attack.

Drink a lot of water. Our bodies are about 75 percent water so be sure to drink enough. Water helps flush out waste products and toxins from the body.

Don’t eat at fast food restaurant chains. These don’t have many healthy options and you’ll only get fat in them. If you must visit them, order a salad instead. Home cooked meals are always the best! If you are working make a habit to bring packed lunch.

Eating right foods is a healthy habit. Thankfully I lose some pounds that really makes me feel more confident and healthy. Depriving yourself just to lose some weight could harm your body.
